Used Global Windows to replace three first floor that had 'blown', across the front of our house. Mark, the window fitter, was efficient, skilled and paid great attention to detail, going above and beyond to make us happy with the installation. The quality of the products is very good and have enhanced the look of our house. Mark cleared up as he went along and left the work area tidy, both inside and out! From the first time we popped into the showroom for a chat, to the final payment, everything about our conservatory roof replacement has been excellent. Everyone at Global has been both pleasant and professional. The price they quoted us was fair. All work started and was completed on time, and we had visits from the Project Manager almost every day.
Although different teams were involved (roofers, electrician, plasterer) they all communicated with each other, so they all knew what was going on, and what our requirements were. They were great at keeping us up to date as work progressed, and we got a daily update before they left the site each day. Work was completed to a high standard, and they were very respectful of our property and always left the site clean and tidy. Having work of this sort done was a big investment for us, but we felt confident that they were looking after us throughout. We gladly recommend them to anyone considering a conservatory roof replacement. And now that the roof is done, the conservatory is much warmer and quieter.

My parents bought a composite door from Global and it was fitted at the end of November. It worked just like a door should for a couple of months, but this is where the positives end. When I spoke to my mum in February, she told me on trying to exit, the door was stuck and they had been unable to get out. As they live in a first floor apartment, this is their only exit.
Although my dad is nearly 90 and mum has blood cancer, they are very independent, and so rather than bother us, they waited until Global were able to come out and open the door. Unfortunately, as the door had stuck on Saturday evening, this meant they had sat there and waited until Monday morning to ring Global to come to their assistance! Global made various adjustments, but my parents continued to be locked in on a regular basis over several weeks, though Global did return as soon as possible on each occasion to release them.
My mum tried to speak to a manager regarding the issue, but was told all complaints should be made by email. She did this, and after waiting several days for a reply, a further inspection was carried out and it was decided there were manufacturing issues with the door and she was told it would be replaced in the next month or so. Global did not seem in the slightest bit concerned regarding the huge safety issues this situation represented, where they were continually unable to exit the property in the case of an emergency. However, after much pressing, a manager did deign to speak to them in person and Global acknowledged that the door needed replacing as soon as possible, which they did the following week.
The new door was duly fitted a couple of weeks ago, and that also initially continued to stick, but some more adjustments seem to have resolved the problem, for now. Though they now have a functioning door, the door is not to same design as the door my parents originally ordered and the letterbox is not where they chose it, though Global continue to skirt round this whenever it is mentioned. Also, very bizarrely, they have been told that to maintain the door, they should never leave it open, but close it fully with the handle lifted at all times, even if they nip out to put something in the bin, or it will warp.
The amount they paid for the door was at the highest end of the price range most people would pay for a composite door, which, if it was of a very high quality would be fine. It clearly isn't. So after much stress and inconvenience, my parents have paid over the odds for a door, the design of which isn't the one they paid for, and it is so flimsy it can't be left open for more than 30 seconds.
My parents have no complaints with the engineers, they have always been very helpful and attended promptly. But unfortunately, the company is very badly managed, use poor quality suppliers and should be avoided at all costs. Edit. Inspite of the MDs juvenile comments, I really have tried to resolve this situation amicably. The door stuck again today and so I'm contacting the ombudsman for a formal complaint

Great company came measured & gave us a price. Told us a fitting date confirmed the date, & two great lads came on time & fitted the doors cleaned & tided up after themselves. What more can you ask for. Fantastic, it's the second job they have done for us, & I won't hesitate to refer or ask them back for another job.

We are delighted with Global windows! The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful and not at all pushy. We have been kept informed throughout by courteous friendly staff. The fitters arrived promptly and remained cheerful and hardworking in spite of being drenched on their previous job. The patio door is attractive and of high quality and we are now much warmer without the drafts. Also good value for money compared with other companies and no hidden costs. Thank you

From order to fitting Global Windows have done a really good job. The sales man was helpful without being pushy. Lead in time was approximately 3 months but in fairness they told us this right from the start and actually fitted the door about 8 days earlier than planned. The fitter had a bit of a nightmare fitting the door but he persevered and made a lovely job. Dust sheets were laid on the floor and furniture. Everything was made good and They even brought a vaccum cleaner. Very pleased.

Global Window came highly recommended from a family member and safe to say they were excellent. Prompt on quotation, measuring and fitting despite well known supply issues across most industries. One thing I hate is quotes that come down by half after you've negotiated, this is not the case with Global, best price given first time which was great and where it should be to be competitive (I head up a procurement department). Installation, quality of work, communications throughout were fantastic, a company that's a credit to Yorkshire. Keep up the excellent work all!

I, m so glad I had global windows to install all my windows in my home. From the gentleman that came out to do all the measuring he was very polite and explained everything in detail regarding what style of windows I wanted and how they would Benefit me and that my home would would be a lot warmer which I have noticed a difference straight away.the two men that came out to fit my windows were very professional, polite and they made sure that all the areas that they were working was covered with sheets.
They cleaned up after themselves there was hardly any mess at all they did a fantastic job, I am absolutely overwhelmed with joy my windows look fantastic I would like to say thank you to all departments of global windows for an excellent service would highly recommend

We have just had a door and surrounding glass panels fitted by Global and we are really pleased, they look beautiful. From the outset, with Trevor the sales person who knows his stuff and did not push anything, through to the excellent communication from David and finally to Andy and Sean the fitters who arrived on time and were professional clean and tidy, we have been very impressed. Billy, one of the owners was really reassuring and friendly when we had a worry.

Overall we have been disappointed with our experience with Global Windows. We had 5 windows installed:- Juliette Balcony doors, a sliding sash window, a small bathroom window and two bedroom windows with new sills. These were all installed in a single day at the start of December 2020. Following installation, we have had to get Global to come back on 3 separate occasions to repair problems with the windows:- The sills installed below the bedroom windows were getting damp on the inside.
The windows needed to be taken out and reinstalled. The juliette balcony doors were measured incorrectly and were too large which meant the window reveals could not be plastered behind the hinges. This was rectified by cutting back some of the masonry around the opening and re-plastering, which took 4 days. The juliette balcony doors then needed adjusting, some of the internal beading replacing and the external pointing replacing.
To be fair to Global they have dealt with these issues reasonably quickly and the tradesmen who have carried out the repairs have been excellent. It's a shame the windows couldn't have been installed properly the first time around!
