Very impressed with the fitters and the windows (a mix or Sash and R9's). Very tidy job with fan's and leaf blowers to keep dust inside to a minimum. I thought we would need everywhere decorating straight away but you can hardly tell on the paintwork. Super impressed and the windows have made a massive difference to the heat in the house

This is the third time we have used Fairmitre for doors and windows and have had nothing but praise for the team. From the initial quote and advice right through to the after care, nothing is too much trouble for them. No pushy sales tactics, no short cuts - just great, honest workmanship.

We came across Fairmitre when we were looking for a new front door, Paul visited us and straight away we were on the same page, his approach to our wish list was refreshing and by adding his experience and knowledge he helped make our thoughts a reality. There was never any pressure for a sale and he left us to make a decision in our own time. We were extremely impressed with the design and workmanship with our stable door that we chose to use Fairmitre again a few months later to install bi-fold doors on our dining room.

Again Paul's approach to the project was brilliant and the team that came to undertake the construction and installation were a pleasure to have here. The transformation created by the Fairmitre team have inspired us to now look at having the glass replaced in our windows and a replacement roof for our conservatory both of which we shall be using Paul and his team to undertake.

We recently employed 'Fairmitre' to renew two sash bedroom windows and two large sash box bay windows in an old period property. We had asked both National and local companies for quotations, but we selected Fairmitre because, from the outset, Paul (M.D.) was so much more thorough than anyone else in his assessment of the job in hand and its potential pitfalls due to the age of our property.

His advice and knowledge were so reassuring. The installation was carried out by Rob, Tom and Jason. They were extremely professional, efficient, friendly and tidy (and partial to biscuits!). As had been foreseen by Paul, they ran into a few issues, but nothing was too much trouble for the team who dealt with each problem with seeming ease. As we wanted to retain the period look, we opted for the "Roseview Ultimate Rose" windows, and we are delighted with the end results. Had a new Solidor door fitted by Fairmitre. Paul and Charlotte were really helpful from start to finish. Quote was spot on and competitive. The fitter was really polite and professional, the job was completed with no mess. I highly recommend.

We started the window buying process in March 2018. A year later, I felt it was time to write a review. We live in a conservation area in Shrewsbury which means the process is so much more complicated than most. Bay windows that had to be sash windows that had to be the same as the Victorian originals does make it a bit of a pain. Paul at Fairmitre dealt with this process incredibly professionally, resulting in permission sought, paperwork done, drawings complete, and the job submitted for build. Fitted in early Autumn in time for a winter to test the impact.

It feels as though we live in a different house! Warmer, quieter, with windows that look amazing, that are so well made. I have no hesitation in recommending Paul & Charlotte in getting your windows sorted. Would go to again if we move and needed to do the same again. M

Fairmitre is a local company that was a pleasure to deal with from our initial visit to completion and follow up. We had 3 external doors and a set of patio doors replaced last month. The workmen were very pleasant and efficient and the whole job was completed in a few hours. Most importantly the workmanship was of a very high quality, with no mess left behind.

The doors are much more secure and the draughts have gone too! The price was very competitive and overall we are delighted with our new doors. I cannot recommend Fairmitre highly enough, and we certainly intend to use them again.

Job well done by Fairmitre. They make the timbre windows and doors on site at their carpentry factory near Oswestry so you can see them being made! Very high quality and fitted with care. Cleared up after all the work was done
