I've been deeply disappointed by the lack of customer service and attitude towards my elderly parents. A cash deposit was taken then they didn't take any phone calls from them and the advertised premises didn't exist when they tried see them, causing my parents a lot of distress. The MD finally contacted them when I threatened legal action by email but has been rude, intimidating ( threatening to sue them if they cancel the order, even though the agreed time has elapsed, and insisting on my personal address) and unhelpful.
It remains to be seen if the doors will ever be fitted but it has caused a great deal of anguish to a vulnerable couple. He Has even complained to my father about the "serious development" of me leaving reviews. What kind of a company complains to someone's elderly, sick father their daughter is leaving honest reviews? If their reputation can't withstand that it isn't much of a reputation. I'd recommend anyone does a thorough Google search before deciding to use them

Thank your response as I cant reply to my original post there has been further issues regarding your products and service, but unfortunately I will go else where to get these resolved, Rubber seal still not fitted correctly and scraps within the window from last fitting (payment of 1500 was made in full)

Would not recommend or use "Fairco McIlhagga Limited" if I had another chance. From placing order 2nd March 2021 all issues are finally fixed 6th August 2021. Where the icing on the cake was when the fitter asked for the money or cheque on my doorway after just fixing the last problem. First door: had Blemishes on the door handle Scripps on the front letter box and side window, Handle and letter box where replaced no issues, Glass was replaced with another unit which had more scratches than the first so had to wait another few weeks for new unit, where in fitter the rubber seal weren't fitted correctly and needed taken back out and touch ups to PVC had to made.

Not impressed. We ordered replacement windows for front of house, when ordering we were told it would be 2-3 weeks; turned out to be 9. Frames came, but glass was wrong size! So, had to wait another 2 weeks. Windows eventually installed, but a rippling in the large bay window pane meant it had to be replaced. Pane 2 arrived and was as badly rippled as the original, so currently now waiting for pane 3.
The fitters told me that they'd never seen such a badly rippled pane. The customer service is less than average - I have to do all the ringing and chasing; there's one rep who doesn't answer his phone. When I eventually got talking to him, he used COVID as a reason why no one from the glass manufacturers could co.me out. I don't need them to come INTO the house to see how poor the quality is. Last I heard they were talking about swapping my pane with one from another manufacturer - but that was nearly 4 weeks ago - HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING SINCE. Very poor.

Wanted a composite door fitted. Tried various companies and all I got was empty promises. Rang Fairco Mcillhagga and was told surveyor would be out next day and door would be supplied and fitted within 2weeks. True to promise, surveyor arrived and door was fitted within 2 weeks. Fitters were excellent, taking great care and attention to detail. Very clean and concientious.
Door looks amazing. Any time I rang Geoff was at the end of the phone, likewise when I emailed he got back to me within the hour. My impression of the other companies is there wasn't enough money in it to supply just a door. Whilst I appreciate every company exists to make a profit.with Fairco Mcillhagga their first priority would appear to provide a service regardless the size of the job.
Would be willing to provide address/contact details should anyone wish to check out the standard of workmanship. I have absolutely nothing to gain by writing this review as should they have made a Horlicks I would've tore strips of them, but I have to be honest and say it as it is based on my own experience. PS, great price as well.

Fairco McIlhagga have previously fitted a front door, windows in kids bedrooms and landing, as well as French doors in our kitchen. Standard of staff who called to survey the job very helpful and the fitting guys competent and tidy - first class job! Unexpectedly a hinge on the French door had a stress fracture and snapped, making the door inoperable.
I contacted Geoff on his mobile (as his number had been on one of the invoices) and he was excellent. Firstly he apologised for the inconvenience and promised to personally follow up the issue as soon as possible. He rang me back within 24 hours to let me know he had a fitter on his way to the house with a new hinge. New hinge fitted and adjusted and French door like new again.
