I required secondary glazing on my grade 2 listed cottage and enlisted Frome's Conservatories Direct to help. My salesman, Jon, was very informative and helpful running through the best options for effectiveness and costings. Once we had made a decision the following process was simple and flawless. They made contact to arrange appointments and fitted in around times that were convenient for me. The finished product was fitted extremely well, very tidy workmen. I am very happy with my service and product from this company and definitely recommend.

Excellent work from start to finish, Very professional throughout, turned up on time every day worked in the cold and rain, bricklayer was a perfectionist, really pleased with the whole process, staff were polite and helpful. Couldn't praise them enough, it's a shame there are not more companies like them these days.

I used them to fit some windows as well as the guttering: as far as I have seen the windows installation is quite average though in regard to the guttering I strongly suggest them to change trade! These people are total clowns they won't even understand the basic principles of "how water flow". So far they have been around my house three times and I've still got a down pipe that is not fitted properly.

Their professionalism is appalling, with derbies left all over my garden and around my property. Their customer service is even worse: they don't reply to emails, neither to text and they always come up with sob stories like: " I had to pick up my kids" and so on when asked: "why are you not here fixing the problem! I strongly suggest them to change their business model!

I'm seriously concerned by the quality of workmanship and standard of customer service by this local firm. In the initial stages of getting doors and windows replaced they were great, and had the sales patter honed to perfection. Since the day of installation (and in particular one member of the crew who was stroppy and rude throughout the day) we've had nothing but trouble - endlessly requesting FCD return to resolve issues (the purpose of windows and doors being they are weatherproof, not leaking).

Now when I call - despite always being professional and polite in my manner - they are dismissive and make promises they don't even bother to deliver on. Which is a shame as they were due to get the contract for an additional 20 windows!

I have nothing but praise for the way the work was carried out to install new Windows and Doors, which is in direct contrast to some of the other reviews. The work rate of the individuals who attended was first class and their attention to detail was second to none. The installation was completed within the timescales planned once confirmation of an installation date had been agreed.

I've had a number of individuals visit the property since completion and without exception the comments have been extremely positive. I would have no hesitation in recommending FCD and am sorry some others have not had a good experience. I've had double glazing installed at a different property but they didn't achieve this high standard. Well done to the FCD team.

Very poor service. Came and fitted windows and front door, no restrictors on windows as requested and split spindle on door - we were told a problem in factory but they would bring them out tomorrow. The next day they finished the job but restrictors were unavailable. A week or so later someone else comes out with the wrong ones and left. Today (another couple of weeks on) someone came and said he didn't think he needed 8, luckily he did have just 8 and managed to do the job. Not the wonderful service we were promised - expected better.

KEEP AWAY. DO NOT TRUST. I had such a terribly disappointing experience with this company. When we signed a contract for a conservatory we were promised it would have been done in 2 months. After 10 months we still could not use it because of the errors in planning/ install it. After a firy letters exchange we finally managed to make the company finish the job they promised and we asked for a discount, which was given to us. The hassle is totally not worth it. Keep away people, and do not trust them!

Our existing wooden conservatory had developed serious rot and we realised that we would have to bite the bullet if we still wanted to enjoy the experience of 'being outside' but within a protective capsule! As we had already had F & C supply our old conservatory with new patio doors and our daughter had her entire house windows and doors replaced we new that F & C would 'do a good job'.

We were not disappointed. What a stunning result. They even used the old patio doors (which were almost new)to reduce costs. After flooring and new lounge furniture it is now our Garden room. Thank you F & C for such a good job and thanks to your polite and professional workers.

Always delighted with the products and the workmanship. Great to have a local firm that you can rely on.
