The quality of the windows and bifolds was good as was in installation up to a point. We have been waiting over a week to have to have the rainwater down pipe fixed in place. At the moment it's swinging about like a pendulum. The installation is guaranteed for 10 years. but I don't expect to have to wait that long for the job to be completed. Only 7/10 I'm afraid.

Our experience wasn't great with this company. To start with the sales person just did the sale without any consideration of the client's needs- that's how it felt for us. He sold us handless door (which we were not aware of) after having a conversation with us about a baby at home and how important it is for us quiet and simple door operation when coming in and out when holding our son.
So please be aware and clarify if you need a handle on both sides of the door. After installation we were left with plaster patches from the inside and outside requiring paint job. Maybe we were being naive not knowing this but we lived in a new built apartment previously so we had no idea we will need to organise a paint job afterwards. Indoors is fine and we did it ourselves, however, outside we don't know the colour as the house was built & painted before we moved in.
Its an off white pastel colour which is not easy to match. Again, something that was not explained to us during the sale process. When we called for explanation we were pointed to the contract where they take no liability for damage caused. They did send an installer back to sort out plaster as it was cracked and not level. After that adjustment, we were bombarded with emails and phone calls to pay the remainder even though we were still waiting for replacement glass that needed to be installed. Lastly, when repainting the walls inside, we noticed that at the top the were massive gaps left causing drafts into the house.
There was no apology about this, they just said they will fix this when installing the replacement glass. So 3 weeks we had to live with drafts during winter months. The only positive is that the door itself is nice looking even though its a bit tough to operate from the inside, we are getting used to it. I would not, however, recommend this company for the simple absence of customer care and support.

I highly recommend the Hometec team. They are professional helpful and friendly. They have superb quality glazing at competitive prices. From start to finish excellent customer service. The sales team with their product knowledge, the friendly delivery service and quality fitting team, meant that nothing was too much trouble for us. A reliable trustworthy company with impressive aftercare service. They have provided me with good quality glazed windows, french door and patio doors which suited and fitted perfectly, our extension and needs.

We are extremely pleased with all of the work Hometec has done on our property. They did all of the windows and external doors. Jamie in sales was informative and helpful. Jack in installations did a great job of co-ordinating our needs and the design. We will be using them again in the future, I highly recommend them.

I would like to congratulate Hometec UK on the consistently bad service. In particular the surveyor you came to the property at the wrong time, I was not at home, but lucky for me a trusted contractor was. On the phone I was then told by the surveyor that it didn't matter now he was there early by 2 hours. It clearly did matter as he had made mistakes on the specification drawings.
The after sales customer service is appalling, you get lied to, fobbed off with excuses and time after time the contractor doesn't turn up. 22/12/2021the snagging was finally completed after having to chase the customer service department time and time again. When the contractor doesn't turn up you dont even yet the courtesy of a phone call I must say that Hometec are very quick in requesting payment though. I would not recommend using this company to anyone.

We ordered replacement windows throughout our property as part of an overall property renovation. The sales aspect was ok, providing us with information, photos of the products etc. A surveyor was appointed by HomeTec and visited the property to measure the openings for the new windows. Unfortunately, I discovered several measurements were incorrect (+/-300mm or more), I documented these on the order and sent this back to surveyor and salesman processing our order.
We informed HomeTec that the replacement windows were a key part of the project and there was no requirement to 'make good' of internal or external plaster and render as this will all be performed once the windows are installed. All that was required from HomeTec was the effective installation. A fitting date was scheduled and when no fitters arrived on site I contacted HomeTec (Calminster LTD) and a flurry of excuses were made.
The installation proceeded a few weeks later which led to delays to other aspects of the renovations at additional cost to us (for example walls with windows could not be plastered, so plasterers had to return to the property at later dates and the external re-rendering had to be delayed). The windows were scuffed and damaged on installation and the fitters took rubbish from our skip at the property to utilise pieces of debris to pack the windows for fitting!
See photo where a pieces of internal plasterboard were used to pack a window sill. Other plastic packers were used and were so poorly installed they protruded beyond the window sill, making it impossible to properly render around the windows externally. The installation was appalling, especially as we had given a green light for no 'making good', internally the house was a building site and the property also had a certified scaffolding system erected that the installation team could have used during the installation.
We complained to HomeTec that the windows installed already weren't level, damaged and incorrectly installed. An installation manager visited the property and was ashamed of the work performed by the installation engineers. The first half of the ordered windows that were installed were taken out and reinstalled properly (this included cement around the windows instead of excessive amounts of expanding foam and pieces of plasterboard and rubbish from the skip).
It then took months for the damaged and missing window components to be finished. As a result of HomeTec's delays the windows had to be wrapped/protected so that internal and external works could proceed and be completed. Fitting engineers also visited the property and completed 30% of the snagging issues so it therefore required further visits (even though the HomeTec office had instructed the engineers of all the issues) When we complained to HomeTec and felt that we should not pay the full remaining balance owed on the contract as a result of the stress, organisation required by us, delays and additional costs incurred as a result of HomeTec's lack of organisation, communication and sloppy workmanship. Speaking with a Director it was apparent he really didn't care, he was telling me stories of increased costs in timber as a result of Brexit and COVID, I clarified that the windows we ordered were UPVC.
A very insulting 50 financial reimbursement was offered on a very large order (the reimbursement represented less than 1% of the total order amount) HomeTec's answer was well just complain to the DGCOS, which for any meaningful and successful financial reimbursement for our costs it would mean going to court. We settled the outstanding amount with a very small reimbursement. Foolish on HomeTec's behalf, they showed themselves up in front of a large number of local trades and recognised local builder and the homeowners, who certainly wouldn't recommend them to anybody.
I have given two stars as the initial sales product information and assistance was good and the windows were finally installed properly and we like the product. (Windows have been in approx. 6 months)

Very pleased with the work just completed. The surveyor who attended was really helpful and as an added bonus went above and beyond by fixing my front door which was sticking. The fitters were very polite & professional and as a result the new windows and doors look great! Based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
