We replaced very thick triple glazed wooden doors with slim profile ones so I was concerned how they would be fitted and how the inside of our kitchen would be finished. The surveyor made a note of the issue which was followed through to the installation. The installers on the day were professional and friendly, but more importantly their finishing and workmanship was first class. Perfect finish. I have used a few window replacement companies in the local area and can 100% recommend Shaws and will use them again. Great job, thank you

We recently had 3 windows replaced by Shaws and we have no complaints at all. The fitters were excellent, their work was clean and tidy and the installation is to a very high standard. The windows have made a huge difference to our home in respect of look, sound proofing and now draft free. Wonderful job, thank you very much!

I had cracked a pane of glass at work with my heat gun. Measured the glass whilst still in situ. Went along to Shaw's, gave them the measurements I had, although they used their expertise to cut me a correct size piece there and then. It fitted like a glove. Really good price also. Thank you Shaws

We had a very poor experience with Shaws. We needed 3 window replacements and the work could've taken a day to complete. The contractors came to install our windows on Thursday morning. Not even a couple hours later, one of the contractors told us he needed to leave by noon and to go on a kayaking trip/beat traffic, that's not our problem and it took us by surprise.

He put us in an unfortunate situation that he should've dealt with his bosses prior to agreeing to come install our windows. They were here in our home for close to 4 hours, completing 2 windows and left us without a choice but to wait for them to come back the next morning on Friday at 9am. They said they'd be back the next morning and left their tools and the massive uninstalled window in our living room.

Guess what! No one showed up the next morning. When we called the company they didn't even know the employee left our home early and the job unfinished on Thursday. It was quite frustrating as my partner took time off work because of the disruption. So we had their supplies in our home for 4 days while the company worked to sort something out. My partner and I had to move the huge window because it was getting in the way of his office space.

The same contractors came back to us the next week and did not acknowledge or apologise for their lack of professionalism. I'm not happy with the quality of work and attention to detail- our front facing windows (and back facing) now require us to paint the exterior walls to cover the slabbing work Shaws completed. Weirdly our ground floor window didn't have this problem because they used white material to seal the edges, I'm wondering why this wasn't done to the upstairs windows.

Now we need to consider spending extra money and time to fix the concrete paving that was done to the corners of our window. It looks messy and we're not pleased with the outcome. We don't recommend Shaws. I am reminded each time I see the concrete slabbing work that we need to fix their sloppiness and had a frustrating experience. I recommend you look elsewhere to fix your windows as it's a big investment.

Had patios doors taken out from loft room and half glass half French windows put in. I waited to write this review to see how they held up after the storms and they have done superbly. The room is much warmer and no leaks what so ever. The guys who put them in were respectful of carpets and paintwork, really just touch up of painting to be done when they left.

They left the space clean and tidy and asked my opinion on different options after the old door frame wasn't able to be used. Not going to lie it took a very long time for the window to be made, I imagine a mixture of Brexit and Covid. I wasn't in any rush so it didn't bother me, and the end result more than makes up for it.

Had a great experience with Shaws. second time using them, they redid all our windows with new upvc throughout. Windows took an age to arrive but there's a global glass shortage so, nowt anyone can do about that. Dan and Joel were our installers and they didn't half graft to get them in. house is now warm & toasty after getting rid of the old 30+ year old windows. wouldn't hesitate to recommend! will be back for a new front door soon!

Having previously had a bad experience with another company (Kloeber), we were anxious about how the installation of two new front windows would turn out. Along the way, we were subject to the delays that have bedevilled all of these companies but we were kept informed and a couple of months later than we originally hoped for Shaw's were ready to do the installation.

When Jon and Jim arrived, they commented on our recently installed front door, which (after remedial work) looks great. This led to a discussion about the bad experience with the other company, who left us with really extensive 'making good' to do and were difficult to deal with. In response, Jon and Jim were very reassuring about exactly what Shaw's would do as part of the installation package.

This was a very good start to an excellent experience over the next couple of days. They were easy to have around, were very respectful of our property, took real care with their work (which they did to a very high standard) and with cleaning up after themselves. The installation of the actual windows was only the beginning. The work they did around the windows, both inside and outside, was much more extensive than anything we imagined would happen and has made the new windows, themselves actually very beautiful, look even better because of what they did, including doing necessary making good work too.

It counts as one of the best experiences we have ever had of having work done to our house. We will definitely use them again (there is another window we are thinking of replacing next year) and would recommend them without any hesitation. Thank you so much for an excellent job!

We just had our Windows replaced on our house and I couldn't recommend Shaw's enough. The products are well made and of good quality. The fitters we had were brilliant, not only were the fast and efficient but were clean, neat and provided an excellent finish. As local Brighton Interior designer, I would not hesitate in recommending them to any future client.

A very quality service at a very reasonable price! Jon and Jim from Shaws arrived early each day and worked very hard throughout, leaving us with a beautiful new conservatory roof after 3 days. I found them to be very competitively priced, and quick to measure. When the install came around, the installers were professional and the windows were of good quality. I would reccomend.

We've used Shaws before and were really happy with their work. This time we had an opening of nearly five meters to close with patio sliders and would not compromise with three sliders. We wanted 2! We knew just who to call for a job like that and, albeit we had to wait - they are really busy - they were able to remarkably accommodate our request. Excellent standard of work. Professional, quick and clean installation. Highly recommended.

Really good service, worked around my home working situation and were very respectful, plus made sure to keep doors shut so that the cat couldn't get out. Only negative was the cleanup job after, as we had to sweep the floors and outside to remove paint chips and debris.

They have fitted our conservatory with glass, plans and materials from another company. They were subcontracted. Even though it has been leaking from the beginning, it has been very hard to get hold of them to come and do a repair. They did one repair on it since the beginning. Of course Covid came and we couldn't get hold of anyone understandably.

Yet now I keep getting palmed off to a later date and they say it wasn't their glass. I have to pay. I accepted that I have to pay for it. However despite promises to come and do it in September, I am now being told that basically other customers take priority and they won't be able to come till the end of January and I should look for someone else.

The leaks are increasing and the wooden floor is already half damaged despite the pots i keep placing under the various leaks. I thought they were a courteous company but actually having fitted it and been paid for fitting it they've sadly not done a very good job.

I along with my friend Ms Sue Bath we recently purchased a front porch frame and doors from Shaws. However, because of the pandemic, it took a long time to materialise, almost 7 months, but we were informed many times during the wait of the situation and were pleasantly pleased when it was installed a few days ago. We are very happy with the product, it is well made and looks great. Our neighbours and postie have told us of how much they like it.

We had a really good experience with Shaws over the last lockdown period. They were most helpful when a ridge tile fell from our roof and smashed the outer part of a glass conservatory double glazed panel. They quickly came and measured up, and came back to fit 3 weeks later. Admittedly it didn't fit, but there was no way of knowing this without removing the whole panel.

What looked like a straight panel was tapered at one end. They Refitted the old panel, making sure we were still water tight, and re ordered a new one. Had to wait, 3 weeks again, but unbeknown to ourselves the conservatory was built bespoke. All was dealt with very professionally, and we are very happy with the result. Steve and Staff at the office were always very helpfully and Polite as were the fitters, Simon I think. We were kept updated so we would highly recommend. Thank you Shaws.
